The Easiest Strawberry Milk You've Never Made

Ah yes, strawberry milk... a childhood classic. But this one's made with real strawberries instead of Nesquik and questionable ingredients.

Here's a very simple recipe--I don't know if I can even call it a recipe. There's really nothing groundbreaking going on here, but since most recipes require a blender or food processor, I'm going to tell you how to make it without any appliances! You can even make this in a dorm room.

Takes: 8 minutes

Makes: about 12 oz.

Ingredients

1 big handful of strawberries that aren't cold (the softer and more ripe, the better)

Sugar or your choice of sweetener (continue reading to know how much)

Milk of your choice (continue reading to know how much)

Steps

1. De-stem your strawberries, put them in a bowl, and mush them up using an available utensil. A fork did the job for me. This is the most difficult part, so be patient and have hope. Note that there will be chunks, and that's okay (unless you're a straw user; then I'm sorry).

2. Sweeten your strawberry mush: the amount of sugar or sweetener that you add depends on your taste. When I make this, I use about 2 teaspoons of sugar, but if you want your strawberry milk to be sweeter, use 1-2 tablespoons. Note: 3 teaspoons = 1 tablespoon

3. Put your sweetened strawberry mush into a glass and add the milk. The strawberry mush to milk ratio should be about 1:2, but honestly just fill up the rest of your glass with milk and live your life.

4. Stir it up, or shake it if you have a lid, and enjoy!

That's it! Easy, right?
